Gherkin
Glenn Smith is an experienced sales and marketing director and a dedicated leadership professional.
Inspired by a brilliant meeting in a well known London skyscraper back in 2018, Glenn set up Gherkin Associates, a business dedicated to helping people succeed by becoming their absolute best.

His purpose is simple, to help people unleash their true potential.
Glenn's experience
With over 35 years sales, people management, coaching and leadership experience, Glenn has held various sales and management roles in electrical contracting and utilities.
In his last position as Sales and Marketing Director and Executive Board Member, Glenn also became a certified trainer for "The Living Leader" personal leadership programme in 2019.

A note from Glenn
Hi there - I'm Glenn, owner and lead trainer at Gherkin Associates. Thanks for taking time to visit and for making it this far through the website.

I've had a great career, most of it in the corporate world, although my roles have also involved working with SME businesses and both within private and public sector organisations. Regardless of where I've worked though, people have always been a big part of what I do - and they still are today.
​
My career has taken me all over the world, and I've been fortunate to have been involved and have had the privilege of running some great teams.
​
So here's where I come clean!
​
Although I was a successful salesperson, working my way up to Director level, I didn't always get things right. Yes I got results, but these days I can see there was a cost.
​
When I reflect back I now realise I was more about drive and control than I was about inspiring people to be great themselves. That's the benefit of hindsight - right? Indeed, I wish I'd known what I know now, a lot earlier in my career.
​
These days I'm teaching what I've learnt, and I'm extremely proud to be an associate trainer for The Living Leader.
​
It's a programme that turned my understanding of leadership on it's head and these days I use my knowledge and real life business experience to help others be their best.
​
I work with people in a way that enables them to grow and achieve their true potential - Not just at work - but in their home life too.
​
The coaching and training techniques I use change lives.
Now I know that's a bold statement, but it's one I know I'm qualified to make.
How can I say this?
